Where there's a will, there's a way!
When I clicked on the link, however, I got the disappointing message:
In the browser's url field I entered just the domain name, (http://www.waterright.com.au), leaving off the document name with the hopes of finding another link on their home page that would take me to the same document. No luck. I got the same "This webpage is not available" error message.
At this point it was obvious that the Owner had taken down the website for some reason. But I really wanted to read that document! I was determined to read the guide so decided to try one last 'trick' I had learned as a website designer and still often use.
I opened a new window on my computer and went to Google.com.
In their keyword field I entered the name of the actual file (wicking_bed_technology.pdf) - and right as rain, there it was, the first option on Google's Search Engine Result page!
Below is an image of the result page Google displayed for me. I made one a red arrow on the image below to point to the name of the file I had entered into the Google search field and another that shows the file I was looking for and how Google displays it.
I've highlighted the link that the original web page I was on had used to link to the document; Google's search engine saves not only the document but any information it can about that document and stores it in their database - forever.
To read the document I just clicked on it and Google opened a new tab and displayed it for me.
